Travis Kelce

At Super Bowl LVII in February 2023, Donna Kelce sat in the stands wearing a jersey stitched together from two teams. One son, Jason, was playing center for the Philadelphia Eagles. The other, Travis, was the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. Kansas City won, and the brothers hugged on the field afterward. It was the first time two brothers had faced each other in a Super Bowl, and it captured something central about Travis Kelce: his life has always been lived alongside his brother.

Astrologers would point straight to the third house, the part of the chart tied to siblings, neighbors and everyday talk. Kelce was born at 5:49 a.m. on October 5, 1989, in Westlake, Ohio, according to his birth record, and his Moon is in Sagittarius in the third house, along with Venus in Scorpio. A Sagittarius Moon is restless, funny and generous, and in the third house it finds its comfort in conversation and in siblings. The brothers' podcast, New Heights, launched in 2022, became one of the most popular sports shows in the country largely because of how easily they talk to each other.

The sunrise birth puts his Sun in Libra in the first house, joined by Mars, also in Libra, and Mercury in Virgo, with Virgo rising. A first-house Sun makes the personality itself the calling card, and Libra is the sign of charm, partnership and balance. Mars in Libra adds energy that works best in tandem, a fair description of a tight end, a position built on timing with a quarterback. His connection with Patrick Mahomes became one of the best in the league, and Kelce became one of the most productive tight ends the game has seen.

The route there was not straight. He was suspended for a season at the University of Cincinnati, came back, and was drafted by the Chiefs in the third round in 2013. He went on to win three Super Bowls with Kansas City, in 2020, 2023 and 2024.

Jupiter sits in Cancer in the tenth house, concerned with career and public image. Jupiter enlarges and Cancer warms, and astrologers associate the placement with a public reputation built on likability and goodwill. Kelce's fame long ago outgrew football, through hosting Saturday Night Live, commercials and, from 2023, his relationship with Taylor Swift, which made him a fixture far beyond sports pages. The couple announced their engagement in August 2025.

Libra Suns tend to be at their best in partnership, and his life keeps proving it: the quarterback, the brother with the microphone, the fiancée in the suite. The Moon in the house of siblings came first, though. Before any of the rest, there was a kid in Ohio trying to keep up with his older brother.
