Birth Chart Library was founded by an independent developer with a longtime interest in astrology. Interpretations are written and reviewed by our editorial team using Swiss Ephemeris calculations and AstroDatabank source data. Our goal is to make accurate, substantive astrology accessible to everyone — without paywalls, ads cluttering the experience, or sensationalized content.

Our editorial approach

Astrology is a centuries-old system of symbolism that many people find genuinely useful for self-reflection and understanding. Our goal is not to tell you what to believe, but to present the traditional meanings and interpretations of natal chart placements in a clear, educational format — and let you draw your own conclusions.

Every interpretation is written to be specific rather than vague, observational rather than prescriptive, and grounded in both traditional astrological scholarship and plain language. We don't sensationalize placements or flatten their complexity into generic positive affirmations. The difficult parts of a placement are as worth understanding as the strengths.

Our interpretation library covers all major planets in every sign and house — over 1,700 individual entries — each written and reviewed for consistency of voice, accuracy to astrological tradition, and genuine usefulness to readers.

Data sources & accuracy

Planetary positions and birth chart calculations are powered by the Swiss Ephemeris — the gold standard in astrological computation, trusted by professional astrologers and software developers worldwide. It provides sub-arcsecond precision for planetary positions going back thousands of years.

Celebrity birth data is sourced from AstroDatabank, the most comprehensive and rigorously documented collection of celebrity birth charts in existence. AstroDatabank rates each entry using the Rodden Rating system:

• AA — birth certificate or official record
• A — reliable autobiography or personal statement
• B — biography or reputable secondary source

We include only AA, A, and B rated entries. Lower-rated data (C, DD, X) is excluded to protect the accuracy of every chart on the site.

Corrections & feedback

If you spot an error in a birth chart, an interpretation, or any other content on the site, we want to know. Use the contact page to report it and we'll review and correct it promptly. Accuracy matters to us — the site is only as useful as the data and interpretations behind it.
