Spencer Pratt

On The Hills, the MTV reality series that ran from 2006 to 2010, Spencer Pratt played the villain, and he played it with obvious enjoyment. He schemed, spread rumors and fought with Lauren Conrad, all while dating, and then marrying, her former friend Heidi Montag. The couple became known as "Speidi," and for a few years they were among the most famous and most disliked people on reality television.

He was born on August 14, 1983, in Los Angeles, at 5:39 in the afternoon; the time comes from his birth certificate. Leo holds his Sun, with Mars at the very start of Leo, both in the seventh house, which rules marriage and committed partners. Leo craves attention and a stage, and the seventh house is about the significant other. A Leo Sun with Mars in the seventh describes someone whose fame is tied to a partner and who performs, and fights, through relationships. Pratt's entire public career has been built as half of a couple.

His Moon is in Scorpio and occupies the tenth house, the zone of public image, along with Jupiter in Sagittarius. A Scorpio Moon is intense, secretive and drawn to drama and power struggles, and in the tenth those emotions play out in public. Pratt cheerfully embraced his role as the man audiences loved to hate.

Capricorn is his rising sign, which suggests a calculating, strategic side beneath the chaos. Pratt has always presented his reality television persona as a business, and before The Hills he had produced The Princes of Malibu, a reality series on Fox about the sons of the music producer David Foster.

Mercury and Venus, retrograde, sit in Virgo in his eighth house, an area of a chart associated with shared money and with transformation. After The Hills ended, the couple reportedly spent most of the fortune they had made, and Pratt has spoken openly about the hard years that followed.

Uranus in Sagittarius falls in his eleventh house of networks and audiences, a placement associated with sudden, unconventional connections with large groups. In the late 2010s Pratt reinvented himself on Snapchat and TikTok, posting about crystals and his family life with self-mocking humor and building a new, younger following.

He and Heidi have two sons, Gunner and Ryker. In January 2025 the family's home in Pacific Palisades burned down in the Los Angeles wildfires. Pratt documented the loss on social media, and his angry, emotional videos criticizing local officials reached millions of people and turned him into an unexpected voice for fire victims.

Saturn and Pluto, both in Libra, lie in his ninth house of beliefs and public causes, describing a person who can be transformed by crisis into a crusader. The Leo Sun in the seventh house made him famous as half of Speidi; the Scorpio Moon in his tenth house made sure he always had an audience, whether as villain or survivor.
