Raja

In 2011, Raja won the third season of RuPaul's Drag Race. Before competing, Raja, whose name out of drag is Sutan Amrull, had spent years as a professional makeup artist, including as head makeup artist on America's Next Top Model. That experience showed. Raja's looks on Drag Race were avant-garde, editorial and fashion-forward, more like runway couture than traditional pageant drag, and they helped shift what audiences expected drag to look like.

Raja was born on June 14, 1974, in Baldwin Park, California, and spent part of childhood in Indonesia, the homeland of Amrull's father. No birth time is on record, so there is no reliable Ascendant for the chart, but the planets suit Raja closely, beginning with one detail: Raja's full stage name is Raja Gemini, and Raja was born with the Sun in Gemini.
