Eiza González

Eiza González was a teenage telenovela star in Mexico before she was a Hollywood action actress. At sixteen she was cast as the lead in Lola, érase una vez, and became famous across Latin America as an actress and pop singer. She has since spoken about how that early fame, combined with harsh public criticism of her weight, left her struggling with depression and body image.

She was born on January 30, 1990, in Mexico City. Her birth time is unknown, so there is no reliable rising sign or house layout for her chart, but the planets are striking. Her Sun is in Aquarius, the sign of independence, originality and reinvention. Aquarius does not like to be defined by others, and González has repeatedly reinvented her career, leaving Mexican television to start over in Hollywood with small roles and auditions.

Six planets, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, sit in Capricorn. Capricorn is the sign of ambition, discipline and patient building, and so much of it describes a person who works relentlessly toward long-term goals. Saturn, Uranus and Neptune there belong to her generation, but Mercury, Venus and Mars in Capricorn make the drive personal. González has described studying English and acting intensively and taking roles that demanded heavy physical training.

Venus, retrograde in Capricorn, suggests a serious, guarded approach to love and an inclination to revisit relationships. She has kept much of her romantic life private.

Her father died in a motorcycle accident when she was twelve, a loss she has said shaped her deeply. Her mother, Glenda Reyna, a former model, raised her in Mexico City.

Her Hollywood breakthrough came on the series From Dusk till Dawn, and then in Edgar Wright's Baby Driver in 2017, as the getaway driver Darling. She went on to action films including Hobbs & Shaw, Godzilla vs. Kong and Michael Bay's Ambulance, and the dark comedy I Care a Lot.

Jupiter, retrograde at the start of Cancer, describes growth through family and emotional security, and Pluto in Scorpio adds depth and an ability to transform. In 2024 she played the scientist Auggie Salazar in the Netflix series 3 Body Problem and appeared in Guy Ritchie's The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.

González has become an advocate for mental health and for Latin representation in Hollywood, speaking openly about therapy and about the pressure to fit narrow ideas of how a Latina actress should look. The Aquarius Sun made her willing to start over; the Capricorn planets made sure she kept climbing.
