Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen was working at a surf shop in Huntington Beach, California, when a photographer spotted her and asked to take her picture. Within a few years she was a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, but what made her famous was not the modeling. It was her voice on Twitter, where she joked, swore, picked fights with politicians and narrated her own life with a bluntness that most celebrities avoided.

She was born on November 30, 1985, in Delta, Utah; a notice in the local paper recorded the birth early that morning. Teigen herself has said she does not know her exact birth time, which leaves her Ascendant open to doubt, but the planets are distinctive. Her Sun is in Sagittarius, with Mercury, retrograde, Saturn and Uranus also in Sagittarius. Sagittarius is the sign of candor, humor and saying exactly what you think, and with Mercury there, the mouth runs ahead of caution. Four planets in Sagittarius describe someone who cannot resist sharing, and Teigen's career was built on unfiltered honesty, which also produced her worst controversies.

Her Moon is in Cancer, the sign most associated with food, home, family and nurture. A Cancer Moon finds emotional comfort in cooking and caring for others. Teigen's cookbook Cravings, published in 2016, became a best-seller and grew into a brand of cookware and recipes, and she has always presented food and family as the center of her life.

Her father is Norwegian American and her mother, Vilailuck, is from Thailand, and her mother's Thai cooking shaped much of what she cooks. She spent much of her childhood in Snohomish, Washington, before her family moved to Southern California when she was a teenager.

In 2006 she appeared in the music video for John Legend's song "Stereo," and the two began dating. They married in 2013 at Lake Como in Italy, and Legend's hit "All of Me" was written for her. They have four children. Teigen has spoken publicly about infertility, IVF, postpartum depression and, in 2020, a devastating pregnancy loss, sharing photographs that started a wide conversation about grief.

Venus in Scorpio adds intensity and a sharp, provocative edge to her charm. In 2021, old messages surfaced showing that years earlier she had bullied other celebrities online, including the reality star Courtney Stodden. Teigen apologized publicly and stepped back from social media for a time, later describing the period as one of the hardest of her life.

Mars in Libra brings a social, partnership-minded drive. She co-hosted Lip Sync Battle with LL Cool J for several seasons, and much of her career has been built in partnership, with her husband, her collaborators and her audience.

Jupiter in Aquarius suggests success through unconventional channels, and Teigen was one of the first celebrities to build a large career around a social media voice. The Sagittarius planets gave her that voice, and the Cancer Moon made sure it always came back to the kitchen table.
