XXXTentacion

XXXTentacion was one of the fastest-rising figures in American music when he was shot and killed in June 2018, at twenty. His raw, genre-mixing songs, part rap, part punk, part emo ballad, built an enormous young audience on SoundCloud and YouTube, and his album ? opened at the top of the Billboard album chart only months before his death. At the time he was also awaiting trial on serious charges of violence against his former girlfriend, and the two sides of his story have divided listeners ever since.

He was born Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy on January 23, 1998, in Plantation, Florida. His birth time is not public, so his Ascendant and houses are not used here, and the Moon, which changes signs that day, is left aside as well. The planets that can be placed are concentrated in Aquarius and Capricorn.

His Sun is in Aquarius, joined by Mars, Jupiter and Uranus. Outsiders and rule-breakers belong to Aquarius, and a cluster there describes someone who builds an identity apart from the crowd. His music ignored genre lines, and his fans, many of them teenagers who felt alienated, saw him as a voice for that isolation.

He grew up in South Florida and was moved between relatives during his childhood. He had repeated trouble at school and with the law, and spent time in juvenile detention, where he said he became serious about music. He began releasing songs online in 2014, and his 2015 track "Look at Me!" became a viral hit.

Mercury and Venus are in Capricorn, with Neptune nearby. Capricorn planets are associated with discipline and ambition, and he released music at a relentless pace, putting out two albums, 17 and ?, within about seven months.

In 2016 he was arrested and later charged with aggravated battery of a pregnant victim, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment and witness tampering. The allegations, described in detail in testimony that became public in 2017, were among the most serious against any recording artist of his generation, and he had not been tried when he died.

On June 18, 2018, he was shot during a robbery outside a motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Four men were convicted of first-degree murder in 2023. His son was born in January 2019.

Saturn in Aries stands apart from the cluster, a placement associated with hard lessons and impatience. His death left an unresolved story: an artist whose music reached millions of struggling young people, and a man accused of serious harm to a woman who sought justice.
