Pamela Anderson

Pamela Anderson was born on July 1, 1967, Canada's centennial day, and was celebrated in her hometown of Ladysmith, British Columbia, as its first "centennial baby." Twenty-two years later, at a BC Lions football game in Vancouver, a camera put her on the stadium's big screen while she wore a beer company T-shirt, and the crowd cheered. Within months she had a modeling contract and her first Playboy cover.

She was born at 4:08 a.m., as her birth certificate shows. Cancer holds her Sun, which sits in the first house, and Gemini is her rising sign. Cancer is sensitive, nurturing and protective, a sign often hidden behind a tough outer shell. The first house puts identity on display, and Anderson's public image as a sex symbol long obscured the softer, more private person she later revealed in her own words.

Mercury, retrograde in Cancer, in her second house of personal values, describes a reflective mind that processes feelings slowly. In 2023 she published a memoir, Love, Pamela, which she wrote herself, and appeared in the Netflix documentary Pamela, a Love Story, telling her own story after decades of being defined by others.

Her Moon is in Aries, alongside Saturn in Aries, in the eleventh house of fans and public networks. An Aries Moon is impulsive and passionate, and Saturn there describes hard lessons through public life. The theft and distribution of a private sex tape of Anderson and her then-husband, Tommy Lee, in the 1990s made her the target of relentless jokes, an experience she later described as deeply painful.

Venus in Leo, in her fourth house, describes warmth and devotion at home. She married Tommy Lee in 1995 after knowing him for four days, and they had two sons, Brandon and Dylan. She has said that motherhood was the most important part of her life.

Mars in Libra, in her fifth house of performance, describes energy directed into entertainment. Anderson became famous on the sitcom Home Improvement and then as the lifeguard C.J. Parker on Baywatch, one of the most widely watched television shows in the world in the 1990s.

Uranus and Pluto in Virgo describe reinvention through hard work, and Neptune in Scorpio, in her sixth house, suggests causes that become part of daily life. She has been a longtime animal-rights activist with PETA.

Late in her career she received the best reviews of her life. In 2022 she made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago, and in 2024 she starred in The Last Showgirl, earning a Golden Globe nomination. She also began appearing in public without makeup. The Cancer Sun made her tender behind the image; the Aries Moon gave her the courage to reclaim her story.
