Hermann Göring

A decorated fighter pilot in the First World War, Hermann Göring later became an early member of the Nazi Party, rising to command the Luftwaffe, serve as President of the Reichstag, found the Gestapo, and become Hitler's formally designated successor. Institutional rank, accumulated methodically, at every stage available. Scorpio rises at the horizon on his chart, a surface built for secrecy, control, and power held at close range rather than displayed openly, while the Sun and Mercury sit together in Capricorn, in the 2nd house of resources and personal value, wanting power converted into structure and material accumulation rather than left informal.

Göring was born January 12, 1893, in Rosenheim, Germany, with Scorpio rising and Virgo on the Midheaven. Capricorn's 2nd house doesn't stop at rank. It converts rank into accumulated material resources as well, which the historical record documents extensively through his large scale looting of art and property during the war.

Mars conjuncts Jupiter in Aries, in the 4th house, adding expansive, aggressive drive to the foundational level of the chart. Aries doesn't build a modest operation. It builds one at maximum expansion, which the Luftwaffe's role in the war reflects directly.

In 1946, the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg convicted Göring of war crimes and crimes against humanity and sentenced him to death. He died by suicide, using a smuggled cyanide capsule, the night before the scheduled execution. The chart doesn't explain what a person does with total, unshared control once institutions hand it to them. It only describes a Scorpio surface built for that kind of control and a Capricorn Sun and Mercury built to formalize it, without offering any accounting for the documented consequences that followed.

The historical record stands on its own, verified independently of the chart. The placements describe a pattern of ambition and control. They do not explain, excuse, or diminish what the pattern was used to build.
