Megan Rapinoe

At the 2019 Women's World Cup in France, Megan Rapinoe scored six goals, won the Golden Boot as top scorer and the Golden Ball as best player, and helped the United States win the title. After scoring against the host country in the quarterfinal, she stood on the field with her arms outstretched in a triumphant pose that became one of the defining images of the tournament. She was also in a public fight with the president of the United States at the time, having said she would not go to the White House if the team won.
