Machine Gun Kelly

In 2018, Machine Gun Kelly picked a fight with Eminem. After Eminem attacked him on a surprise album, Kelly answered with "Rap Devil," a diss track that drew huge attention and a crushing reply. Two years later he changed genres entirely. His 2020 album Tickets to My Downfall, a pop-punk record produced by Travis Barker, went to No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and the rapper from Cleveland reinvented himself as a rock star.

He was born Colson Baker on April 22, 1990, in Houston, Texas, and has said he arrived at 8:47 in the morning. His Sun is in early Taurus, with Mercury also in Taurus, both in the twelfth house. Kelly himself has publicly described his chart as a Taurus Sun in the twelfth house, a Pisces Moon and Gemini rising. The twelfth house is associated with what is hidden, private suffering and escape. A Taurus Sun there suggests a person whose real self is more private and vulnerable than his public image, and Kelly has spoken often about depression, drug use and a painful childhood.

His father was a missionary, and the family moved frequently, living in Egypt and Germany before settling in Denver and then Cleveland. His mother left when he was young, and his relationship with his father was difficult for years.

Gemini is his rising sign, describing restless, quick-changing energy and a love of reinvention. Kelly has moved from rap to pop-punk to acting, playing Tommy Lee in The Dirt, and back again.

His Moon is in Pisces in the eleventh house of fans and networks. A Pisces Moon is emotional, dreamy and sensitive, and in the eleventh it ties his emotional life to an audience. Venus and Mars, both in Pisces, sit in his tenth house, where public image is read. Venus in Pisces in the tenth describes a public life shaped by romance, and his relationship with the actress Megan Fox, which began in 2020, made them one of the most photographed couples of the period. They became engaged, separated, and in 2025 had a daughter. Kelly also has an older daughter, Casie, born in 2009.

Saturn in Capricorn sits in his ninth house, and Uranus and Neptune in Capricorn fall in his eighth house, an area of a chart associated with crisis and transformation. Kelly's career has been full of public turbulence, from feuds to controversies over his image, followed by reinventions.

Jupiter in Cancer lies in his second house of income and self-worth. He built a large following in Cleveland with mixtapes like "Lace Up" before signing with Bad Boy Records in 2011, and later expanded into film and fashion.

The Taurus Sun in the twelfth house keeps much of him hidden; the Pisces planets in his public houses put his feelings on display. His music has always been the tension between the two.
