Bukayo Saka

In July 2021, at nineteen, Bukayo Saka stepped up to take the decisive penalty in the final of the European Championship at Wembley. Italy's goalkeeper saved it, and England lost. In the hours that followed, Saka and two teammates were targeted with racist abuse online. The response from much of the country, including a wall of supportive messages and a national conversation about racism, became part of the story. Saka returned to play with remarkable composure, and over the next few years he became one of the best wingers in the world.

He was born on September 5, 2001, in Ealing, west London, to Nigerian parents. His birth time has not been published, so the chart's Ascendant and houses are not available. Virgo holds his Sun, a placement of humility, diligence and precision. Virgo works hard, pays attention to detail and does not seek the spotlight, and Saka is known among teammates and coaches for his modesty, his work ethic and the technical precision of his dribbling and crossing.

His Moon is in Aries, describing quick reactions, courage and a resilient emotional nature. Aries recovers fast and charges forward, and Saka's response to the Euro 2020 penalty miss showed exactly that resilience.

Venus in Leo adds warmth and a natural charisma. Saka is known for his smile and his friendly, easygoing manner, and he quickly became a fan favorite at Arsenal.

Mercury in Libra describes a fair-minded, diplomatic way of speaking, and Saka has been praised for the grace with which he responded to abuse, choosing to focus on support rather than hatred.

He joined Arsenal's academy at seven and made his first-team debut in 2018 at seventeen. He was named the club's player of the season and became a regular for England, scoring at the 2022 World Cup. Arsenal supporters nicknamed him Starboy, and his partnership on the right wing with Martin Ødegaard became central to the club's revival as a title contender under the manager Mikel Arteta. Off the field he has funded surgeries for children in Nigeria through a charity campaign. Jupiter in Cancer describes growth through family and loyalty, and Saka has stayed with the club where he grew up, signing a long-term contract in 2023.

Saturn in Gemini describes discipline in learning and adaptability, and Saka has played in several positions, from left back to the right wing. Mars in Sagittarius adds pace and a love of attacking space.

Uranus and Neptune in Aquarius and Pluto in Sagittarius belong to his generation. At Euro 2024, in the quarterfinal against Switzerland, he scored a superb equalizer and then, in the penalty shootout, stepped up again and scored. The Virgo Sun made him diligent and humble; the Aries Moon made him brave enough to take the next penalty.
